The Department of Career & Technology Education at the University of Central Missouri invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the area of instructional technology. The successful candidate has earned a doctorate in instructional technology or a closely related field (ABD considered) and demonstrates evidence of or potential for effective teaching and scholarship. The position carries teaching, research, and service responsibilities. Formal review of applications will begin March 1, 2008, and continue until the position is filled.

Courses are delivered online leading to a Master of Science in Educational Technology, a graduate certificate in Online Teaching & Learning, and a mixture of online and face-to-face courses for an undergraduate minor in Instructional Technology. Opportunities for teaching in the summer with additional compensation are available. The Instructional Technology program is in the Department of Career & Technology Education and offers opportunities for collaborative interdisciplinary research and publication. Its focus is to train candidates to be technology leaders in all facets of education, from k-20 to corporate. The College of Education is NCATE accredited and nationally recognized.
